Networking Superstars School… You Don’t Know What You Don’t Know!

Networking Superstars School… You Don’t Know What You Don’t Know!

learning-Twit

Such a simple statement ~ ” You Don't Know What You Don't Know! ” and I found out something I didn't know at Networking Superstars School…

But do you? I have found that in the world of Online Marketing, as you begin some training in one area, you come to notice there is more you don't know and often you will start to research that area too and the next, and so on.

You actually come to realise that there is a lot you don't know, and are usually able to produce a learning list of skills to work on…

But, what you don't know you don't know is still out there… lurking behind your goals and trainings and tools and skills, in the form of light-bulbs

You know those moments when all of a sudden, something someone says, causes all number of phrases or snippets of info to Merge Together In That Instant  and CLARITYA Switch goes on and An Image or A Path or a Plan are Clearly Visible TO YOU… Just Like That, clear as day – When 10 seconds ago you didn't know it could exist…

  Those are Precious Moments!

Now you know something you didn't!!

The mind loves to teach us in these wacky ways, keep a learning culture, and your mind will give you those lightbulbs 😀

So, will YOU carry on learning for lightbulbs?

Do You Have A Learning Culture?

If you do, then you do (carry on learning for lightbulbs, that is!)

Today, I want to point you in the direction of 1 of the 3 Communities that constantly keep me informed, challenged and growing.

The greatest way to build your Brand online is to Learn and Teach, to Share your Knowledge is priceless in how it attracts your followers / members / prospects to you, depending on what you are looking for.

I am busy working on my Social Superstars Community at the moment, so have had my head down a bit, but to follow my own advice above, I have to give you the opportunity to share these Free Weekly Lessons from Networking Superstars.

Wherever you are on your learning path, you will appreciate how the topics chosen by Gavin, are focused towards guiding you to recognise and fulfil the vast array of skills required to successfully build your business Online

Networking Superstars School

Do You Get Creation Block?

By that I mean you are in the middle of a project, and you know where it's going, and are well on the way, but something doesn't feel right, like one of the pieces isn't quite the right shape?

So there is some inconsistency in the middle of your process? …  It's not wrong, just not quite right!!

Well, last night, watching this Blab, I had a HUGE Lightbulb moment about my project… and I didn't even realise I was experiencing Creation Block!!

I feel very relieved to have kicked my flow back in the right direction… I see the whole thing from a completely new angle today…

and why?

Because I tuned in to this Blab webinar…

  1. because I said I would
  2. because I knew it would be valuable information
  3. because I have a learning culture… and (now I know) those Lightbulbs switch on at the most Unexpected Moments!!

  1. Thanks for sharing another well written post. – “You don’t know what you don’t know”- simple yet powerful statement. When I started online marketing 2 years, I pretty much knew nothing but I embrace the learning culture.

    Cheers
    Vivette

    • Hi Vivette,

The learning culture is the basis for success, it means we are open to learning in all areas of life and business, and as you know, there are many of them that need aligning!!

Thank you so much for visiting from my fan-page,and you’re doing so well 😀

  2. Jacs,

You are so right that we don’t know what we don’t know. That is why I love sharing what I know about love. For a long time I thought that everybody knows what I know, but it turns out they don’t. The same happens with business. We only know what we have seen or have been taught. When we join a community, like Networking Superstars, our eyes are opened wider and wider. There are so many ways to connect with others and build a successful business, but if we are stuck in our own small way of doing things we may be struggling unnecessarily. I know that whatever Gavin Mountford offers will provide real value. And he brings together a group of powerful networkers, people like yourself, who will help to teach, share and even promote what you offer.

    Warmly,

    Dr. Erica

    • Oh thank you Dr Erica for all your thoughts above, you summed it up nicely by saying we only know what we have seen or been taught… and how much there is to know!!!
With a learning culture our eyes do open wider and wider, and like you do, we can absorb and share new things we learn and even what we know already. I am always fascinated to read about your work because I was always such a romantic and had ‘Love Conquers All’ written all over my school books and just think how wonderful that you are a real expert and can share those insights with us.
Within any community, sharing and learning is a big part, and yes Networking Superstars compliments PAC and my Community very well for online marketers. Blog sharing is a fabulous way to learn what we don’t know!
Thank you for popping in 😀
      warm wishes,
      Jacs

  4. Great post Jacs!

Love that saying “You Don’t Know What You Don’t Know!” It is so true! I have had a few creative blocks but I now that that when that happens that I need to be patient because eventually it will come to me and I start to write again 🙂

    Thanks for sharing!!

    • Hi Joan

That’s a great way to deal with those creative blocks… patience and a change of scenery usually does the trick, but you’re right, those ideas will come when they’re ready…

  5. I can really relate to this post Jacs. I learn something new every single day and now I have a lot of catch up to do after being absent for 3 weeks so my mind is all over the place at the moment on where to start again, especially also that I have to start over with my blog ! Thanks for sharing.

    • Hi Merle, yes, you have certainly had plenty of challenges lately, and starting again is going to need a step by step plan! It will all certainly be a big learning curve… if I can help, give me a shout.
I admire your fighting spirit, you will conquer! 😀

  6. Hi, Jacs

What a good quote: You don’t know what you don’t know. In my opinion, the most pitiful thing is ” We thought we know”.
I learn new things everyday and havesome creative blocks inside me, but my problem is implementation. I am working on that.

    Have a nice day!
    – Stella Chiu

    • Hello Stella,

Yes, thinking we know can definitely lead us up the wrong path!

But I do think the best way is to do as you are and take action. Working on a course or training and learning whilst implementing is rewarding from a learning and business building point of view.

Creative blocks often unblock when you least expect it!

      Thanks for visiting 😀

  7. Hi Jacs,

Thanks for introducing me to Gavin’s teachings just a couple of weeks ago. I’ve already learned such a lot from him.

Whenever I can I get onto the Blab, or pick up the repeat.

And yes, sadly there is STILL so much that I don’t even know that I don’t know!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, Joy

    • Hi Joy,

Gavin has excellent trainings, and I’m so happy you are finding them useful.

There is always lots to learn, but as you are learning, create the big picture and then you have a focus for what you need to know to achieve those places and goals. This can take time, but working on creating this makes sure you are learning productively.

I think you are on the right path, and learning to use the tools is also part of the journey, and can be slow at the start! I am right with you too, if you need my help 😀

      ~ Jacs

  8. Hi Jacs,

I love the saying here “You Don’t Know What You Don’t Know” because it has me thinking. It is so true. When I’m talking to someone about internet business for instance, I’ll just blab about it and people usually tell me “wow…you know so much!”

That being said, I do deem it important to give this quote a thought and give what we do know out there. Because whatever we do know, there is someone else that doesn’t. Does that make sense?

As long a we are giving to others, we have to keep an ear opened to listen to their response.

Well, just good to be back after a short stint away from the internet.

    -Donna

    • Hi Donna,

You have mentioned the perfect follow up Donna, what we do know we must most definitely share with others. This is something that has gradually dawned on me over my time online, that there are always others that ‘don’t know what you know’ and in fact positioning oneself to teach what you learn is actually what moves our journeys on.

Of course, blogging is a terrific way to start sharing what we learn, and as you say, listening is key, and our blog and social media commenters are a great help there 🙂

Lovely to see you back, and thank you for visiting!

      ~ Jacs

  9. Thanks for sharing these lessons Jacs.

Goes to show how much knowledge there really is out there and how each of us puts our own unique spin on it.
    Gavin’s amazing btw,

    Cheers

  10. Very enlightening post Jacs. Thanks for sharing the information! I have heard about the school and have signed up but have not attended any classes as yet. I know Gavin is quite innovative and therefore does expect any less from these classes. Thanks for the reminder. Vinton

  11. Hi Jacs,
“you don’t know what you don’t know” is so true in many ways. I used to be guilty of skipping parts of training because “I know this” crept into my mind. Point is, it’s far too easy to miss something and therefore there is something “you don’t know” in the content.
Education is ongoing and the Networking Superstars School is great.
    Thanks for sharing this.
    Barrie

    • Hi Barrie,

You have a great learning culture, and looking for what we don’t know, but know we need to is definitely the way to go. It’s great sharing the online journey with Cultured learners like yourself 😀

      ~Jacs

  12. Hi Jacs,
I had to read this a couple of times to get it straight in my head; “You Don’t Know What You Don’t Know”

There are so many people I’ve met online and I learn something new from everyone almost every day.

Gavin has created a tremendous learning opportunity for those who want to learn.

    • Hi Monna,

It is a bit of a brain teaser!!

Any learning is good when it helps us move forward and provides a piece of something to share. You do indeed share so much with your community PAC and your writing group and I also love learning from our online colleagues.

You have a terrific learning culture 😀

      ~Jacs

  13. Hi Jacs, thanks for sharing this. I loved it when I was involved. Gavin has passed on so much knowledge.

  14. With social media and search algorithms changing frequently, affecting promotion, branding and getting known, even if we do know a whole lot, we must keep up with what’s new.

If we don’t the amount we don’t know increases.

    • Hi Sue,

Yes, a brilliant comment! Whatever we know, when working online in the social arena we definitely have to keep on our toes and keep learning to slow down what we don’t know… No pressure then 😉

      ~ Jacs

  15. Hi Jacs,

Dig your style and your explosive thinking. I’ve followed your lead to connect with Gavin. Thank you for that.
    Edward
