Social media is a fine place to be out meeting people when you have a business, but of course it is primarily a place to be social and not selling.
Even though we have personal profiles and forums / pages / groups for Business, people these days expect to be wooed and prefer to make the decision to buy rather than responding to a direct sales pitch…
It’s definitely all about attracting customers to you these days.
Everybody uses social media for social purposes, so the rule when promoting your business is keep it low-key and allow the buyer to ask for what they want when they want it!
And you do this by creating value around your products and you as your brand.
Most people promote their business and products in one place far too often, and the only way to build a real long term, sustainable business online is to offer much more value to your prospects than promotional content…
A good gauge is to use the 80/20 rule and post… 80% value and 20% promotional. And this applies to your business pages and groups across all social media platforms.
Of course this means you need to take some time and thought to the content you are posting for your audience, but you will reap the rewards
How much you post depends totally on you, and you will probably be able to use the same posts, or the same images and vary the text on different social platforms, or in different places on Facebook.
I would suggest starting out with a simple goal to post perhaps 2 posts per day.
SO, what could you be posting on social media to enhance your marketing and attract interest, customers, leads and sales?
