Is it possible to Create, Edit, Fix & Add Effects to your Images INSIDE Your WordPress Blog?

Social Media has gone Image Crazy and there are several excellent tools available for creating images for your Headers, Branding pics, Quotes and actually anything… but here's a funky one that works inside your wordpress blog!

What comes first… The Images or the Blog?

I guess that depends on how the inspiration strikes, and I find it works both ways. But, however the conception starts, I've always found that writing a blog post is one issue, and sourcing, creating and perfecting your images has been a totally separate avenue of work.

And, although this is a bit of an inconvenience, it is the way it has always been, and of course, we have all found our image creation sources to work around this downfall in the wordpress blog.

Lets face it… we can upload an image and place it into a blog, and that is a fairly limited application for any wordpress image lover. So, I think we all agree that the image/media features are rather grim for such a fantastic blogging platform.

So, I have installed…  and am awesomely blown over by this plugin, CanvaKala, which is low priced. Created by Ankur, Jai and Raul, who you may recognise!

This is what it does…

  • Add to any WP Site in 30 seconds
  • Finds 2 Million+ Images – Instantly for your use.
  • Adds a Full Photoshop like Editor to your site.
  • Apply Instagram like Filters to all your images – in 1 Click.
  • Adds 100+ Special Effects and Google WebFonts
  • Create & Edit Unlimited Images – with LAYERS Support

Watch CanvaKala In Action…

When you click on the Button within your dashboard, you see this screen… and proceed to create your image… the video below gives you a short run-through…

When you have created your images, you can insert them into your post, add them to your media gallery and download them if you wish to re-use them for social media marketing.

To Summarize CanvaKala…

#1 Finds you 2 Million+ Royalty-Free images from 4 TOP SOURCES

Finding the right image for your blog content or website can be hard. It could sometime even take hours to pick the one that fits your site the best. Scouring 100s of websites is not a good idea (or the best use of your time) that’s why we made it EXTREMELY SIMPLE – 1 click search that finds you over 2 million images right inside your WordPress site.

#2  1-Click Crop, Resize, Rotate and Edit

You may hardly use the images you find online exactly in the same size on your content pages – you need to MAKE IT FIT. That’s why we added a quick 1-click edit feature that makes it extremely simple for you to get the right size/shape of the image you want.

#4  UNLIMITED LAYERS Support inside the Editor

Never before has any other WordPress photo editor had the support for Unlimited LAYERS just like Photoshop which lets you do advanced editing tasks and create complex images super-fast.

CanvaKala-4

#5  20+ Instagram like FILTERS

Instagram has taken social media by storm. Their strongest feature – Image Filters is now in your hands right inside your WordPress site. Now you can pick from any of the 20+ filters and make your images stand out from the rest in 1-click.

CanvaKala-5

#6  100+ Special Effects for your Images

Advanced effects is what photoshop is known for and we made sure you had all those effects for your images inside your WordPress site as well. Now you can apply a COMBINATION of 100+ effects to your images and create unlimited complex images for yourself.

#7  SEO Optimize Every Image You Add

99% of Marketers/Site owners never SEO-optimize their images and miss out on a huge amount of easy to get traffic that comes from Google Image search. Don’t make that mistake because we’ve made it extremely SIMPLE to SEO your images.

I just love that we can do this now within our wordpress site, whilst in the creative flow of writing our blogs, and then use those images for further social media promotion.

I also like to use my own photographs, and I can easily upload these in their raw form, to be edited in situ.

I hope you can see from the above images the scope of CanvaKala… I have not recorded a video for you today, because I have actually purchased the pro version of this plugin which has even more features, as if those above were not enough!… so my options are more…

If you are am Image lover, then this could be a funky addition to your blog… It is low cost, and I think, worth it for the job it does focusing one on the Blog in Question.

Hi Jacs… I’ve just recently heard about this, but had no idea what Canvakala was. Thanks so much for sharing this. This is very convenient. I notice it says royalty free… so there may be a charge on some of the photos? I usually try to look for the Creative Commons ones. Great Post. Thanks so much.

      • Jacs Henderson

Yes, CanvaKala is a new product BG, you can select for free images with no attributions… I use free ones too, and have a regular growing collection which I can also upload… and also my own.
        Thanks for visiting 😀

Having everything right there in the wordpress blog is a great idea, rather
than going to another source to work on your images.

      Hi Jacs,

I actually ran across this plugin this past weekend. I watched the video and was very impressed.

I think it’s great especially for those of us who are not graphic artists or designers. I’m pretty limited to what I can do and I use free programs like Canva to create my images but I also like the convenience of doing all of this in your blog post. I’m sitting on the fence about whether or not I want one more plugin because I think that’s the issue most will have. I try to keep mine limited to what I really really need instead of what’s really cool or convenient.

I’m still thinking about it though, it really looks like an awesome plugin.

Thanks for sharing it with everyone, I think they’ll fall in love with it too.

        Hi Adrienne,

        you have a point there!

At the end of the day, it does depend on our individual priorities for plugins and what we consider a need or cool and convenient!!

Your images always look fantastic, and I love the quotes you brand out on social media too 😀

Thanks so much for calling in and sharing your thoughts,

        warm wishes,

      Wow!

      That is amazing 🙂
I had to go and grab it and upgrade to Pro too.
Only complaint is that I didn’t have this yesterday when I was really struggling with some image editing, because I am SO graphically challenged.

Completely thrown out of the window what I was planning to do today, as I just want to PLAY with it.

Thanks for introducing this to us – it’s going to save me so much time, I’m sure.

By the way, I am very conscious of the fact that I am supposed to be interacting in your community and haven’t 🙁

It’s on my radar, definitely, but I’m just in overwhelm mode at the moment.

Perhaps CanvaKala will save me enough time that I can do nicer things in future 🙂

      Hey Jacs,
This is awesome. Very cool platform you are recommending here. It provides the convenience that I am sure most marketers would want – everything in one place. WordPress has tremendously made website management, editing and provision of content a breeze. This plugin is another of the many ways to feel comfortable and at ease while having fun with your images. It also speaks to the problem and fear of using copyright images. Some of us just don’t bother! This will make image creation that more imaginative.
      Thanks
